Factors affecting the quality of the steel works

As can be seen in the analyzing,from the processing of parts to the assembling and installation of components,this is not only quality forming stage, but the main step that affect the project quality.But no matter in any stages,there are many factors have influence on the engineering quality include people,equipment,process,material and environmental and there are abnormal and chance.

1 Human factor

This"human" is a gross generalization, it includes three levels of content:The first is the decision makers, leader, organizer etc that directly involved in the steel structure project, these are basically the leading level of person, but every leader's leadership, decision-making ability and mixing ability and the ability to command exists a lot of differences.The second is the operator that directly involved in the steel structure engineering.Such as engineering designers, construction operator, material procurement staff,social supervision of engineering and technical person etc.In the stage of the components of production and construction installation these person's professional dedication,technical quality,physical conditions,business knowledge,proficiency and occasional errors in the process of manual operation inevitably make technical and operational errors, thus will affect the quality of steel structure engineering.The third is the inspection and testing person.Due to the differences in understanding of quality standards and master degree,test methods,technology,sampling quantity,it will cause quality problems because of lax,fault and leak detection.

2 Material factor

In steel structure engineering,There is a great variety of materials,commonly used mainly include steel,welding materials,paint,high strength bolt,color plate,etc,there are also many parts.Most of these materials are purchased outside of the factory or purchasing in the sale units.Once material performance and quality index can not meet the product standards or design demand,it will affect the steel structure engineering quality.Especially in the process of production,we should pay attention to material matching,such as the welding material and steel level matching, the matching of connecting bolts and fittings etc.Therefore,the witness testing of steel structure engineering is the scientific method to ensure the quality of steel structure.

3 Construction technology

Construction technology is the measure and method for scientific construction.This construction process,not simply refers to the construction technology of steel structure production,installation of components or construction scheme,but includes the decision-making process,the design process,construction technology,test procedure,test method etc.Advanced scientific construction technology has a great effect on the improvement of steel structure project quality.The way to measure whether the process condition is advanced is to see if it can improve the work efficiency, can increase and improve the quality of structure,can reduce the production cost,shorten the working process,if there is a motor ability of strain.

4 Mechanical equipment

Mechanical equipment is the basic and necessary condition to ensure the quality of steel structure production,installation and necessary conditions of material,is the symbol of modern enterprise.In the manufacture of steel structures,commonly used equipment include linear cutting machine,parts assemble machine,arc-submerging welder,shot blasting machine etc,commonly used in the designing are computer and software design, computer automation technology in the application of quality inspection and ultrasonic flaw detection etc.These equipment and facilities are not only indispensable to the modernization construction and quality management unit, but can effectively reduce the labor intensity and improve work efficiency,improve the quality of the products of steel structures.But the equipment is not everything,the error of the equipment performance and welding parameter setting error will affect the quality of steel structure engineering.So,constantly update equipment, maintenance and repair equipment, periodically check measuring instruments, ensure the integrity rate and accuracy of the equipment,thus,can make the equipment and facilities serve for steel structure projects better.

5 Environmental factor

Environmental factors include both the influence of working environment on production, installation of steel components and the influence of social environment.Especially in the product process of steel structure components,temperature and climate conditions have large effect on the welding quality,such as submerged arc welding,weld quality is higher in spring and autumn because the temperature is appropriate;In summer because of the humidity,flux is easy to be affected,weld will produce the defects such as bubbles, affecting the welding quality.
